Perfect country pub getaway Stayed for two nights in July. On our first night they were having a greek themed evening, the authentic Greek food and the entertainment were fantastic, the bar was very family friendly and the atmosphere was great. the staff were welcoming. The rooms above the pub were spacious and very clean. On our last day we stayed for Sunday lunch and I have to say it’s the best I have ever had, would definitely recommend a visit! Glad this pub is back After a terrible visit to our usual local on Friday night. We tried the Angel for the first time with the new owners. What a pleasant experience. Prices are reasonable and great selection. Sunday roasts look good. So will be trying those soon. A tip for locals, support the village pubs and not the chain one just outside the village. Outstanding!! What an incredible Sunday lunch! The new team at the Angel Inn have absolutely nailed it. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming and relaxed. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was simply outstanding. The roast was one of the best we’ve had in years – beautifully cooked, generous portions, perfectly crispy roast potatoes, huge homemade Yorkshire puddings, rich, flavourful gravy and fresh vegetables cooked just right. Every plate that arrived at our table looked amazing, and every single one was cleared! It’s so refreshing to see a traditional village pub serving food of this quality while keeping such a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere. Sitting outside in the sunshine with great food, good company and excellent service made for a perfect Sunday afternoon. Long Ashton is incredibly lucky to have this pub. Whether you’re popping in for a drink, a family meal or one of their Sunday roasts, I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. We’ll definitely be back very soon. Lovely pub Lovely atmosphere, staff really friendly. Recently under new management. We had the burgers and they were delicious. Even better they served Otter ale! Under new management - good food! Under new management after being shut for a while, initially much the same as before with a few minor tweaks and the old charm intact, but this week they got the food going with a new menu and it's great! Proper pub meals done really nicely with homemade chips, fresh vegetables, good quality ingredients and a nice variety of dishes. Fabulous Venue, Amazing Food Under new management after being closed for a short while. Xmas lunch in The Angel Our group booked ahead to have our Xmas lunch in The Angel and so we didn't have to wait but were ushered into the parlour where the table was already festively laid for six. We all enjoyed very generous portions of nicely cooked Christmassy food. Between us we sampled all the courses on the menu.
